Mary McCahill, Former Assistant Corporation Counsel for City of Chicago, Joins Daley Mohan Groble as Associate

Daley Mohan Groble, P.C., a rapidly growing trial attorney law firm which provides a broad range of legal services for public and private clients across multiple industries, today announced that Mary McCahill, former Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago's Department of Law, has joined the firm as Associate.

McCahill, 33, is a highly regarded trial attorney with more than 8 years of experience. Her area of specialty includes representation of municipal clients such as the City of Chicago, where she defended Chicago Police officers in a number of high-profile civil lawsuits including claims of excessive force, wrongful death, false arrests, due process violations and malicious prosecution.

McCahill joins Daley Mohan Groble from the City of Chicago's Department of Law, where she served as Assistant Corporation Counsel from 2002 through December 2010. During her tenure she successfully tried civil rights cases before juries in federal and state court. For her trial work McCahill was recognized in 2006 with the Outstanding Achievement Award by City of Chicago Corporation Counsel, Mara S. Georges, for aggressive litigation and successful motion practice.

From 2002 to 2004 McCahill served in the City of Chicago's Municipal Prosecution Division, where she prosecuted criminal ordinance violations in Circuit Court for the Chicago Police Department and tried more than 25 bench trials. From January 2001 to July 2002 McCahill was a Law Clerk in the City of Chicago's Individual Defense Litigation Division.

McCahill is a 1999 graduate of DePaul University and earned her Juris Doctor degree from the DePaul University College of Law in 2002. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2002 and is a member of the Northern District of Illinois' Trial Bar. McCahill is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.

Upon joining DMG, Mary was featured in the Chicago Tribune 's "Moving on Up" and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin's "In the News" columns.
