Vy'Shaey Mitchell

Vy'Shaey handles litigation and employment matters for railroad and other corporate clients. Her areas of experience include Title VII, Illinois Human Rights Act, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA and FRSA issues, including FELA matters.

Prior to joining Daley Mohan Groble, Vy'Shaey was with the Illinois Office of the Attorney General where she represented the State of Illinois in a wide array of civil litigation, including administrative review, constitutional law, professional license revocations and denials, declaratory judgements and guardianship. Vy'Shaey also advised State Departments on statutory interpretation and processes.

Before joining the Attorney General's office, Vy'Shaey served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Franklin U. Valderrama, in the General Chancery Division of the Cook County Circuit Court. As a judicial clerk, Vy'Shaey drafted written opinions and bench memoranda on complex litigation matters, including temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, class actions, insurance liability and contract disputes. Vy'Shaey also served as a judicial extern to the Late Honorable Judge William Hibbler in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District.
